Linda Diane Bradford

Linda Diane Bradford, 15, 1020 Yuma, a sophomore at Manhattan High School, was killed early this morning (April 8, 1968), in a one-car accident in Wabaunsee County. Mary Sender, Route 2, Wamego, a passenger in the Bradford auto, was taken to the St. Marys Hospital for emergency treatment. She has been admitted for treatment of undetermined injuries and is listed in satisfactory condition. Investigating officers said the accident occurred sometime between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. today, three miles southwest of Alma on old highway 10. The car, driven by Miss Bradford, was believed to have been coming out of a curve when it slide broadside and rolled two or three times in the ditch. Miss Bradford was thrown from the car and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Miss Sender was able to walk to a nearby farmhouse for help, said Wabaunsee County Sheriff officers.

Survivors include Linda's parents; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bradford, 1020 Yuma; two brothers, Charles Jr and Dennis, of the home; four sisters, Marian Bradford 613 Riley; Mrs. John Farmer, Losantville, Ind.; and Eileen and Jeanet, of the home; a maternal gradfather, Albert Levier, Holton; and two nephews.

Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mayetta.

Mass will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Lady of the Snows Church, Mayetta. Burial will be in the Shipshee cemetery.
