James B. Norton, 23, of 402 Bluemont Circle, died Sunday morning from what authorities termed a self-inflicted shotgun wound.
    Born Feb. 16, 1952, in Stillwater, Okla., he was a sophomore majoring in agronomy at Kansas State University.
    He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his parents; Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Norton, of the home; a brother, David Norton, 831 Humboldt; and two sisters, Mrs. Barbara Schesser, Blue River Hills, and Susan Norton, of the home.
    Private memorial services are being held with the Rev. John Graham officiating.
    Friends wishing may contribute to the James Norton Memorial Fund. Contributions may be left at the Cowan-Edwards-Yorgensen Funeral Home.
