Fred D. Williams

Fred D Williams, 30, of 1617 Stewart Ct., died Saturday morning in Houston, where he was under treatment for leukemia.
    He was born Jan. 16; 1952, in Ames, Iowa, the son of Wayne W. Williams and Mary Mette, both of whom survive. He was a foreman for the Parker-Hannifan hydraulic equipment company, and had been a resident of the Manhattan community for 17 years.
    Mr. Williams was also a member of the Albert Pike Lodge No. 303, AF&AM in Wichita.
    He was married Aug. 26, 1972, to Brenda Bishop, and she survives at the home.
    Other survivors include two daughters, Wendy Michelle Williams and Erin Renee Williams, both of the home; two sisters, Marilyn Rolls of Houston and Sherry Stowe of Rt. 2, Manhattan; four brothers, Wayne Williams of Mount Clemens, Mich., Charles Williams of 864 Church Ave., Mike Williams of Dallas, and Christopher Williams of 1731 Humboldt.
    Funeral services are pending at Cowan-Edwards-Yorgensen Funeral Home. Friends wishing may contribute to the bone marrow transplantation center in care of the funeral home.
