Darrel Woellhof

Darrel Lee Woellhof, age 71, of Manhattan, KS, passed away on May 15, 2024. Darrel, a beloved individual, lived his entire life in Manhattan. He graduated from Manhattan High School in 1971 and was a dedicated member of his community.

Darrel served in the Army and Army National Guard, demonstrating his commitment to serving his country. He had a successful career, working at Browns Shoe Store and the McCall Pattern Company for 42 years. Darrel's dedication and hard work were evident in all aspects of his life.

In his free time, Darrel enjoyed playing golf, music, photography, and cornhole. He was a talented musician who played in various bands throughout his life. Darrel's passion for music and sports brought joy to those around him.

Darrel will be deeply missed by his surviving family members, including his sister, Donna S. Gray of KC, MO, brother Michael Woellhof of Houston, TX, stepson Francis Rosenow (Trina) of Ohio, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol L Woellhof, mother Helen M Sapp, stepfather Robert Sapp, father Don L Woellhof, and daughter Nicole Lynn (Woellhof) Chillcott.

A graveside service will be held at Westmoreland Cemetery on June 22, 2024, at 1:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life at Westy Community Center. Contributions in Darrel's memory can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Darrel's legacy of kindness, hard work, and love for his family and community will forever be cherished. May he rest in peace.
